2010

  • Joshua Bush selected to receive NIMS 2010 Summer Fellowship – Mr. Joshua Bush (MS-MSE), working with Dr. Yongho Sohn on phase-field simulation, has been selected to receive 2010 Summer Fellowship from National Institute of Materials Science, Tsukuba, Japan. He will be spending his 2010 summer at NIMS, working on phase-field simulation of multicomponent interdiffusion under supervision of Dr. Machiko Ode.
  • Othmane Benafan, AMPAC graduate student placed second in the ASME Applied Mechanics Division student paper competition – The winners were selected in a three step process – a first round selection of 30 semi-finalists from all submissions, a second round selection of 15 finalists who were then invited to make oral presentations in a special symposium at the ASME International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition meeting, followed by final selection of the winners.
  • Andrew Warren: 2010 Ludo Frevel Crystallography Scholarship Award from the International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD)
