Tenure-track and Tenured Faculty Positions

  • Tenure-Track Faculty Position: The Advanced Materials Processing Analysis Center in conjunction with the Materials Science and Engineering Department (MSE) and other related disciplines at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invite applications for a tenured/tenure-track assistant or associate professor position from candidates with expertise in transmission electron microscopy, advanced microscopy, state-of-the-art materials characterization, or other related fields. This position is expected to start in December 2016. For additional information, click here, or contact ampac@ucf.edu.
  • Faculty Cluster in Prosthetic Interfaces: The University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking to hire an Associate or Full Professor (Lead) and six (6) Assistant Professors to join the prosthetic interfaces cluster in tenure-track positions with a target start date of Fall2017 (http://www.ucf.edu/research/prosthetics). The prosthetics interfaces cluster will focus on fundamental and applied sciences in the study of biosensors and the body’s response to implanted device. This is an interdisciplinary position involving the College of Medicine and the College of Engineering and Computer Science. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and background in any of the following areas: brain-machine interface, biomechatronics, prosthetics and its interface with tissues and organs, and tissue and whole body responses to prosthetic devices. The latter includes prosthetic sensors, actuators, and material development, tissue and whole body inflammatory responses to prosthetic devices, short and long term physiological and biochemical responses to prosthesis implants, as well as artificial organ/tissue preservation. The candidate will have a strong desire to collaborate and develop novel technologies with scientists and engineers from other disciplines at UCF.
